In the practice-oriented guide, measures are shown with which virtual commissioning (VC) can be introduced economically in one's own company. Suppliers and customers also benefit from this. Requirements can be described and fulfilled more clearly. Special attention is paid to costs and benefits. Ultimately, the aim is to create economic added value with the VC. With this guideline, the VDMA is realizing an implementation module for practice and providing another building block for the implementation of Industrie 4.0 and the Digital Twin.
