Control manufacturers face the challenge of constantly developping functionality and efficiency of their controls. Especially the development of high-end-functionalities (e.g. 3D processing, kinematic transformations, HSC, multi-channel, compensations, collision monitoring, ...) binds capacities and requires serious knowhow - both of which is not always available to the required extend inhouse.
ISG-kernel holds many high-end-functionalities and - thanks to its openness and compatibility - complements exisiting control technology, thus transforming it into a performant complete system within short time. Given the proven architecture and the independence of hardware and operating system, the control software can easily be integrated in almost any environment and thus enables using it in almost all applications.
Many machine manufacturers decide to develop their own controls and then face comparable issues as control manufacturers do. Within very short time they require demanding functionalities which they cannot provide for inhouse - for various reasons. Another group of machine manufacturers uses controls available in the market. They need adjustments within the existing standard control environment.
ISG-kernel supports the component-based, open control technology in an optimum way. It is thus possible to create potent and individual control solutions made of a combination of individual and standard components. These controls help, both consistently and reliably, solve a great range of motion tasks e.g. in the fields of production and handling. Given the transparency of functions and interfaces, the automation can be adjusted to new requirements in a very fast and flexible way.
Installation manufacturers face the challenge of combining many single components to one installation in which all components concert in an efficient and safe way. Therefor, many different controls and a great number of axis need to be combined, controlled and monitored.
ISG-kernel allows to continuously and in realtime control easy and complex motion processes on the entire installation with an unlimited amount of axis. Additionally, vast interfaces towards user interfaces, motors and PLC enable a great number of possibilities to intervene the process. This provides a high disposability and failure situations can be handled safely.
